Name Index

I haven't got all my data on line. The full database is huge - and some of it is still on paper. Also, I prefer to supply people with the data they need and encourage them to let me have what they know about their families in exchange.

I have however produced a name index of those people who are known to be connected into families. Even so, the list is over 4800 in number, so I have produced it as an Excel spreadsheet that you can download. It contains names, dates and places of birth, names of parents and spouse. If the name you are interested in isn't present, that doesn't mean I know nothing about the individual; it merely means that at present I haven't got him/her linked into a family. (Remember that One-Name Studies aren't just about creating pedigrees.) To download the spreadsheet, Right Click here to save the target to your hard disk. The file is 628K, so will take a while to download. If you don't have Excel, you can download an Excel file viewer from here.

Despite my earlier reservations, I have now provided online data for many of the principal families and these can be found here.
